The Japanese had also invaded China in 1931. But then the Comintern came along and encouraged all the women to abort their babies, which earned the US's ire, and because of the Comintern's actions after 1931 - to this day, the world is split between Democrats and Republicans, and the ideological split between those Democrats and Republicans is whether women choose to abort their babies or not. Because, basically, that's all that matters. Abortion. That, and gun control.
