'''HMS Repulse''', a British Battlecruiser, was launched in Clydebank, [[Scotland]], in 1916. In late 1941, the British Prime Minister, [[Winston Churchill]] ordered that Repulse and the Battleship [[HMS Prince of Wales]] be sent to [[Singapore]] to defend against a [[Japan]]ese attack. On December 10, 1941, off the coat of Malaya, the two ships were attacked and sunk by Japanese bomber [[aircraft]]. 840 sailors from the two ships were lost.
