Yeah, I'd much prefer we credit the parts of the image to those who have made the argument so that we're making a statement of fact, e.g., "Jane Jacobs, writing in the astrophysical journal, employs the image to the left to illustrate the argument that solar cycles are the real cause of global warming." As it is now, we'll have trouble looking legitimate. The graph on the left could be used to illustrate the opposite (with the global temperatures trendline rising above the solar cycles trendline in recent years) by people who believe in global warming. If we source it, however, then all we're doing is delivering the facts, which no one can object to.
