Christopher Columbus died on May 20th, 1506 in Spain. He died in poverty still believing that he had made four voyages to [[Asia]].

Columbus died a wealthy man in Spain at the age of 55. He still believed he had reached Asia at the time. In more recent times stories have been dispersed of Columbus dieing in poverty and relative anonymity.
