How did our country go from being the world leader to a nation with more metal detectors than [[Bible]]s in our schools, some of the highest taxes in the world, and an ambiguous definition of marriage?  [[Liberal]] judges, and particularly the [[Warren Court]] (1953-1969) but continuing until the present, are responsible for our transformation from moral and economic leadership to widespread despair, particularly among our youth.

How did our country go from being the world leader to a nation with more metal detectors than [[Bible]]s in our schools, some of the highest taxes in the world, and an ambiguous definition of marriage?  [[Liberal]] judges, and particularly the [[Warren Court]] (1953-1969) but continuing until the present, are responsible for our transformation from moral and economic leadership to widespread despair, particularly among our youth.  They are also largely responsible for the Civil Rights movement that gave African Americans the expanded freedoms they still enjoy today.

Sadly, many Americans have forgotten what they learned in their [[American Government Lectures|American government course]]: the [[United States]] of America is a [[Republic]] organized under three branches of government, the [[executive]], [[legislative]], and [[judicial]].  They all share in the duty of balancing their powers.  This ingenious system of [[checks and balances]] has not only served the [[United States]] well at the [[federal]] level, but also the states have modeled this form of government.  It has worked well.
