O'Reilly has often been accused of berating his guests. He is deeply disliked by many on the far-left, who often accuse him of distorting facts or slandering those unfriendly to his position. He has occasionally been criticized by conservatives on certain issues such as his stance on gun control.

He has been known to yell and insult guests in an unprofessional manner.  He often states opinion as fact, stating that it is "No Spin", claiming that both sides can't help to agree on certain points.  Many guests and pundits have argued these points, though, as opinions that they disagree with.  He has also been accused of taking items out of contexts to prove his points. He often highlights stories of crimes committed by illegal immigrants, an action that caused a heated argument with fellow Fox News employee [[Geraldo Rivera]] on ''The O'Reilly Factor''.
