'''Wendy Carlos''' (b. Nov. 13, 1949) is known for being a leading proponent of [[synthesized music]], traditional and newly-composed, especially for a series of recordings of [[J.S. Bach]] and other [[Baroque]] composers: ''Switched On Bach'' (1968), ''The Well-Tempered Synthesizer'', (1969), and others.
