Hammer, I think that decomposition would have had an effect on Jesus' body during his 3 days under. He was roughed up pretty good beforehand, so he was already tenderized before they buried him. Also, because he had a lot of blood and flesh all torn up and whatnot, he would have made a great target for scavenging animals. I'd have to think that something would have taken a shot at him. Or else - do you think that maybe someone stood guard duty over the body, to make sure wolves and scorpions couldn't get to it?
