Boers are also commonly called "Afrikaner-Boers", "Boere-Afrikaners" or sometimes merely "Afrikaners", this last desegnation is sometimes confusing, becuase they should not be confused with the larger Afrikaans-speaking ethnic group in South Africa, also commonly called the [[Afrikaners]].
