I don't think it's an insult to say, "millions of years ago, when your species didn't exist, but the precusors to your species were less intelligent forms of life."  This is actually a very big problem with the understanding of evolution.  People often say, "evolution means your ancestors were monkeys," but that's in no way correct.  Similarly, too graft a value judgment onto science is not the province of science; that's philosophy.  Evolution as it stands does not pass judgment on the fact that a species owes some genetic debt to another, less complex species.-[[User:ArcturusM|ArcturusM]] 15:25, 2 April 2008 (EDT)
