Edouard Manet lived from 1832 to 1883. He painted in the style of [[Impressionism]] and is often called the Father of Modern Art. His most well known painting is "A Bar at the Folie-Bergere". Manet also scandalized the public with his nudes, most notably "Le Dejenuer sur l'herbe" and "Olympia". He used sketchy brush strokes that give his paintings a flat, unfinished feel.
