Clooney's outspoken views have led him to make statements that show questionable character, such as joking about [[Charlton Heston]]'s [[Alzheimer's disease]].  Worse, was that he actually defended his actions afterwards stating that Heston deserved it.  Heston, ever the gentlemen, did not reply in kind, and merely pointed out that George should be careful, as he had as much chance of contracting the disease as anyone else.<ref>http://www.gopusa.com/commentary/dpatton/2008/dp_04072.shtml</ref>
