The comedy aspect of Family Guy's writing has been criticized by the writers of South Park. One two-part [[South Park]] episode called Family Guy's jokes "irrelevant to the plot." The episode also showed Family Guy's writers as [[manatee|manatees]] who would put balls containing random ideas into a machine.
