Good is derived from God's character. God is everything that is good and holy. Evil is everything that is against God. For example, murder is wrong because God cannot murder. The same goes for lying, stealing, etc. But God gave people free will, and Adam rebelled against God. God gave us the ability to choose, but didn't make us choose it.
