My take is that if indeed 5 out of 50 people in a particular group had a disease that normally only 1 out of 1000 had that would indeed be enough to raise some serious red flags. While 50 is too small a sample size to yield any definitive results, it would undoubtedly warrant further investigation, to say the least. However, we currently have no such figures. There may well be only 50 popular touring female musical performers currently between the ages of 20 and 30, but we know of none who have breast cancer as of yet. The only examples that have been provided are people who are not currently in that age bracket. We cannot compare female performers ''currently'' in their 20's with anyone who was ''ever''in their 20's. If Minnie Riperton is to be included in the 20-30 age group, then we have to include everyone from her era in the sample group too, in which case we are talking about a sample group ''much, much'' larger than the 50 who are currently in their 20s. We are looking at most popular female musicians in the last 50 years. That is an enormous group compared to the group Andy suggests.
