How do you know precisely what courses Obama took? Even if it wasn't a required course, how do you know he was not interested in taking a science course anyway? Also, I apologize for not realizing that certain words are "liberal."  --[[User:IlTrovatore|IlTrovatore]] 23:52, 26 May 2008 (EDT)

: Obama went to Columbia College for his bachelor of arts degree.  The college requires three semesters of science classes.[http://www.college.columbia.edu/core/classes/]  In this list is physics has a number of entries.[http://www.college.columbia.edu/core/classes/science.php] One of the options for the required science classes is physics 1601 titled "Mechanics and Relativity" which is a freshman level class. Even if he didn't take that particular class, he certainly took some science classes for his degree. While this may have changed over the years, every undegrad degree that I am familiar with requires classes outside of one's major and in a range of areas (my undergrad degree required some credits in physical sciences, some credits and biological and some credits in non-physics/bio classes (math, computers, logic).  Whatever the case, Obama took some science classes in college. --[[User:Rutm|Rutm]] 00:54, 27 May 2008 (EDT)
