Barr is a [[Christian]]. He is strongly opposed to [[abortion]] and believes that [[Roe v. Wade]] should be overturned as an improper imposition of federal power over the states. He opposes the [[income tax]], and supports replacing it with the [[Fair Tax]]. He opposes federal bureaucracy, regulation, and the [[Nanny state]]. He opposes [[gay marriage]], but has come to believe that this is a [[state's rights]] issue which should not be handled by the Federal government.
