'''Dun Laoghaire''' (pronounced ''Dunleary'') is a major ferry port of [[Ireland]], located in [[County Dublin]] south of the city of [[Dublin]]. It has regular ferry connections to the ports of [[Holyhead]] in [[Wales]] and [[Liverpool]] in [[England]]. The railway connection between Dun Laoghaire and Dublin, opened in 1834, was the first railway in Ireland and is also claimed as the world's first commuter line.

Dun Laoghaire was renamed 'Kingstown' in 1821 when King [[George IV]] passed through the town on a visit to Ireland, but the traditional name was resumed in 1921.
