Is it wrong I was laughing as I wrote this article? It is seriously entirely accurate.
'''Thetan''' is a term within the belief system of [[Scientology]] which refers to the "immortal spirit being" that they believe lives inside of all human beings. It is analogous to the [[soul]] or [[spirit]] found in many other religions, with the important distinction that Scientologists believe the thetan is not exclusive to any one individual. Rather, after a person's death, the thetan goes to [[Venus]], where it is recycled by the native Venusians before being sent back to [[Earth]] and into another newborn person. Within Scientology, much effort is expended on removing negative energies that they believe have accumulated within the thetan.<ref>http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-scientologysidea062490,1,5476601,full.story?coll=la-news-comment</ref>
