| | :: Point taken. As I said, the criticisms and his misrepresentations should be included by all means. I'm a firm believer in the "warts and all principle." It's the differences between the layouts of the articles of say Obama and G.W. Bush which introduce the bias that you accuse Wikipedia of. Wouldn't it be unbiased to include criticisms of Bush at the same relative position as Obama, such as the WMDs issue in Iraq? Surely war criticism must rank at least as highly as the "57" issue mentioned in Obama's article, particularly since this is perhaps a case of mis-speaking on Obama's part. Bush is almost legendary for his oratory stumbling. [[User:Yesaliberal|Yesaliberal]] 15:01, 16 June 2008 (EDT) | | :: Point taken. | − | I think it's disgusting and borderline racist that anyone could say he got where he got as a result of affirmative action. He worked his way into Harvard on a scholarship, he was elected the first black president of the Harvard Law Review (if he was the first black one, they must have just implemented AA right before he got there) and he actually ran against ANOTHER BLACK GUY for his Senate seat, a black guy who was 100% black instead of Obama's 50%. So if affirmative action worked the other guy should've won.

| − | :: He was referring to abortion, not sex ed. But fun fact: there is no nationwide sex ed program in the US but most statewide ones are abstinence only. Britain has a nationwide comprehensive sex ed program, and their teen birth rate is a third what ours is. So yeah, abstinence really works. LOL

| | :::: It's the usage of sources and the presentation of them that is problematic. This article, instead of finding sources and writing an article based off of them, is making claims and then adding "sources" that loosely connect them. An example is the Kenyan father thing; he says his father was a Muslim-turned-atheist, but the article indicates that because less than 1% of Kenyans are atheists, it's impossible. You don't see the problem with that? Even ignoring that Obama himself says his father was an atheist (and who, despite being abandoned by him, knew him far better than any of us), it isn't possible Obama Sr. is one of those less than 1% of Kenyans? | | :::: It's the usage of sources and the presentation of them that is problematic. | − | This article is also rife with lies. Obama never went to a Muslim school, he is not the most liberal senator. He was voted the most liberal in only 2007--probably because he was campaigning a lot and only got back to the senate when it was a very important, to-his-heart bill up for voting. But of course the McCain page will never mention that McCain was so absent from the Senate that year they couldn't even rank him.
