The player may also choose to evolve parts of his body such as his neck or jaw, body size, etc. primarily by killing other animals (in the game's context, this includes humans and other [[hominids]]) and then eating their flesh which earns him "Evolution points" that are used to evolve.

Throughout the game the player finds creatures that haven't evolved with the same rhythm as the other species and thus are interrupting the natural course of evolution, the player must then kill them to restore the evolutionary process to normality. It is later found out that the creatures' development was enhanced by aliens from the planet [[Mars]].
