It theorizes that a solar system begins as a rotating cloud of [[gas]] and [[dust]] that contracts to create a flat disk with a [[star]] at its center.  [[Planet]]s grow from the [[particle]]s surrounding the star, creating a solar system.

When applied to our Solar System (i.e. the one containing [[Earth]]), it contradicts [[God]]'s role as Creator of Earth and the heavens and instead follows a [[Big Bang]] theory of star and planet creation.
