:::: The above comments are non-responsive.  The essence of ''both'' of Lenski's hypotheses is that there is a fixed, or stepped, mutation rate.  But any such rate would be roughly proportional with sample size.  Yet his three experiments prove otherwise, which Lenski fails to address in a satisfactory manner.  Indeed, Lenski's presentation of his data disproves the very thing he claims to have shown.--[[User:Aschlafly|Aschlafly]] 20:40, 15 July 2008 (EDT)
