The dominant female also has sons which compete for mating access to their mother all of this makes the naked mole rats [[eusocial]] like bees, ants and wasps. They are the only [[mammal]]s to have adopted this strategy. When the dominant female dies the worker females compete for dominance and when one wins they go through a hormonal change that allows them to reproduce while the other workers stay infertile. The largest domestic collection of mole rats is at the [[Rio Grande Zoo]] in [[Albuquerque]], [[New Mexico]].

Many conservatives have attempted to pass legislature to force the rats to be “clothed” in a synthetic skin. Although this has given way to criticism, Conservative maintain that sometimes censorship is necessary to save the youths of America. Rush Limbaugh was once recorded as saying “We can’t have kids running around naked because these rats do. We need to stop this. MICHAEL J. FOX! They are also frequent points for vandalism, being called naked mole rats.
