The Internet Movie Database viewer rating for the film gives it a [[weighted average]] of 3.7/10 (as of June 24th 2008).  However, due to the disproportionate number od '1' and '10' scores given by people presumed to never seen it, it is sometimes hard to tell what actual viewers thought. Even discounting artificial voting, it is clear from the vote distribution that this film is polarising with the vast majority of votes falling within either the upper or lower scores.  

Because of the blackballing of the film by people who had never seen it, it is sometimes hard to tell what actual viewers thought. Removing the almost obligatory '1' ratings that detractors of the film give even if they haven't seen it, 1600 voters on the IMDB website gave it a 8.5 rating on a scale from 1 to 10.
