: Your 40-year-old [[gossip]] is silly and unsupported.  Communists, anarchists, criminals, etc., also belong to numerous organizations.  Smearing through use of guilt-by-association is criticized by [[liberals]] and against official Wikipedia policy.  So why this reliance on 40-year-old gossip against this organization?  This selective smearing illustrates Wikipedia's bias.--[[User:Aschlafly|Aschlafly]] 11:23, 31 May 2008 (EDT)

: Not sure why you describe what I presented as "gossip".  The details concerning JBS member connections to AAPS come from AAPS publications.  Is that "gossip"?  The info I provided regarding comments made by top FBI officials originate in FBI internal memos---all of which I have in my possession.  Is that "gossip"?  You can certainly disagree with their judgments -- but why misrepresent and de-value the quality of the data as nothing more than "gossip"?

With respect to your larger point (i.e. unsavory people belong to all sorts of organizations) -- yes, that's true but you conveniently ignore the salient difference i.e. such individuals did not represent the official position of those organizations nor were they knowingly embraced by such organizations.  In fact, if "Communists, anarchists, criminals, etc." were identified -- most organizations would expel them.  BY CONTRAST, AAPS enthusiastically welcomed JBS members and even invited them to be speakers and exhibitors at AAPS functions!
