McCain has been married twice.  His first marriage, to Carol Shepp, ended in [[divorce]] in 1980 after 15 years of marriage.  His second and current wife is Cindy Lou Hensley, to whom he has been married for 28 years, and with whom he carried on an adulterous affair which destroyed his first marriage.  His son John Sidney IV is a Midshipman at the [[United States Naval Academy]], Annapolis, and his son James is a non-commissioned officer in the [[United States Marine Corps]], who is serving in [[Iraq]] as part of [[Operation Iraqi Freedom]].
