:::I've never heard about the runaway thing, but the psychic powers and the cross-dressing criticisms are real. There's actually more criticisms like some pokemon being satanic in nature (and not just because they have psychic powers), the use of "magical" stones to make pokemons evolve, and evolution itself (these last two are unfounded if you ask me, but the criticism itself exists.) :I've heard the psychic powers concern too, and a similar one about evolution being a core concept (albeit in a form that would make biologists very upset at the adaptation).
