When first discovered in 1892, Tyrannosaurus rex was the largest carnivorous dinosaur of all time.  It lived during the Cretaceous period but became extinct with all the other dinosaurs 65 million years ago.  It was originally thought to have stood upright and moved extremely slowly, but more recent analysis has disproven this hypothesis.

The Tyrannosaurus was originally thought to be a carnivore. However, this assertion directly contradicts the statements in the Bible that all animals were herbivorous before sin was introduced to the world.
