I suspect the fact that the Byzantine Empire came to an end in the 13th century would come as a suprise to those rulers and subjects of the Empire who were still there when Constantinople fell in 1453.[[User:BetsyNewson|BetsyNewson]] 09:50, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
