The Vietnam War was fought during the 1960s-70s between the Vichy French and the Vietnamese people (who were, at that stage in Vietnam's history, predominately Atzec Jews). The very secretive war was believed to have been fought over the right to govern the country, with the Vichy French stepping in to prevent a war between Vietnam's two main political parties: The Vietnamese Workers Union (VWU) and the Indochinese Nazi Party (INP). One of the most memorable battles of the war was the Battle of Da Yeung, which was fought between the Vichy French forces and the INP, led by the despotic Shing Shing Pe Pe. During the battle the Vichy French courageously assualted the savage INP guerillas with their heavily armoured tank division. The Vichy French won the battle easily, as they had the element of surprise, due to the fact the INP guerillas were too busy watching the popular television show I Love Lucy, which was a popular wartime hit.
The Vietnam War lasted almost twenty years, and was finally brought to a stop when the Vichy French decided that Greenland and its abundance of Asparagus was more to their liking. Vietnam is currently ruled by Emperor Nebuchadnezzar of the Ling Ling dynasty.
