The Genesis Tale embodies several of the Christian values present throughout the Bible. Despite the lack of geologic evidence present on Earth today, many claim Noah's flood to be an actual event. Young Earth Creationists in particular cite geologic features such as the Grand canyon as evidence of a world wide flood, a claim which contradicts most of modern Geology. It is supposed by many scholars today that the Flood is a moral tale, meant to be interpreted as a metaphor. Nonetheless, the Flood story is an enduring legend, that follows:
