'''Ferrets''' are a domesticated [[carnivorous]] mammal, closely related to the wild [[stoat]], [[weasel]] and [[polecat]].

For centuries ferrets have been in [[Europe]] used for hunting small creatures such as [[rabbits]] which are a pest to [[farmers]]. Today they are still commonly used in hunting, but also commonly kept as [[pets]] due to their furry appeal and playfully inquisitive nature. Like weasels and their other wild counterparts, ferrets exude a strong [[musk]] or odour.
