Palin almost always reads from prepared text on a teleprompter and rarely allows tough questions. Indeed, when unable to read from prepared text she often fails miserably at articulating her positions and is caught fumbling with the simplest of questions regarding even news papers, as displayed in the Katie Couric interviews. Her first debate allowed her to exceed expectations but ultimately come up short, having to rely solely on talking points and scripted attempts at "jokes" and winking.

She brings a populist image and a record of cutting wasteful spending and reforming government to McCain's ticket.
