The Russian Civil War was a civil war in [[Russia]] from 1918 to 1921. It left the country in economic ruin.
The war was fought between the [[Bolshevik]] lead [[Red Army]] and the [[Royalist]] [[White Army]].
Several other nations intervened in the war on the side of the Whites, including [[France]], the [[UK]], the [[USA]] and [[Poland]]. Despite this assistance, and partly due to internal disunity, the Whites lost the War to the Red Army.
