I don't get any of the above. What does wearing a flag-pin have to do with one's loyalty to his or her country? :Flag-pin evolved after 9/11 as a sign of patriotism. BO's reasons for not wearing and his change of position, plus his other anti-patriotic (see national anthem phot) are relevent.
