::::::I never questioned the current president. It's my opinion that a smear campaign of his policies by liberals has unfortunately convinced many on the Right to abandon him. While some criticism was due (every politician makes mistakes), he's been reduced to a lame duck president for more than a year now and all the terrible events (economic crisis, etc) have been blamed on him when in fact, he's been powerless to make a change. The government is not a dictatorship. What Bush says should happen doesn't automatically go into effect -- he has to have support. And with his political base fleeing because it's so easy to go with the popular flow, I feel a lot of pity for the scorn he's had to endure. McCain has never thrown blame on Bush but always on Washington, and I respect him for that. -[[User:Foxtrot|Foxtrot]] 12:57, 3 November 2008 (EST)
