::Equating the Pope (Or the Catholic church) with the Antichrist is not a new idea. Protestants have been doing it for a very long time, and it's got quite a following with the fans of end-time prophercy - it fits in nicely with their idea of the Antichrist imposing a false religion, with the added irony of perverting Christ's own teaching to do so. As for the global currency... it isn't yet. But given that consolidating currencies is easier than creating a new one, it may be unified one day in future. And on World Government... the UN isn't that powerful. This would suggest the conditions arn't right yet, but could be in another fifty or more years.
