'''Edwin McMasters Stanton''' was the 26th [[Attorney General of the United States]] from 1860-1861, and the 27th [[Secretary of War]] from 1862 to 1868. Possibly his most famous accomplishment is taking control of the government after the assassination of President [[Abraham Lincoln]] and hunting down those responsible.
