== Heaven and Suicide ==
Many suicides are based off of some form of the idea that one would be better off dead. This statement essentially falls back on a consequentialist/utilitarian way of thinking in which actions stand on some sort of Utility Calculus in which one evaluates the moral value of an action by counting up the relative balance of intrinsic goodness vs badness created by the act and weighs it against the status quo. The idea of Heaven leads one to believe that that one can continue to count up happiness and unhappiness after death allowing one to conclude that one might be better of dead. For example, someone in pain might kill themselves to get to heaven faster. In this way it can be seen that the idea of Heaven, which includes with it the idea of counting up happiness points after death, can lead one to believe that suicide is the correct course of action.
