Everybody Loves Raymond
Everybody Loves Raymond is a long running CBS reality TV show, centred around the life of Raymond "Ray" Romano and his long suffering family. Airing from September 13th 1996 until May the 16th 2005, the series became a runnaway success.
The series focuses on Italian American writer Ray's often troubled relationship with his wife and family in a deeply personal exploration of the personal bonds formed and broken in modern blue-collar American households.
The programme features Romano's wife Debra, oldfashioned parents Marie and Frank, and autistic cop brother Robert.
The underlying irony of the whole series is that while it is titled "Everybody Loves Raymond", it is soon apparent that in truth everybody hates Raymond. But after engaging with the series further viewers can witness that deep down everybody really does love Raymond. In a non-sexual way.
