'''Fanfare for the Common Man''' is a piece by [[America|American]] composer [[Aaron Copland]]. It is widely considered to be one of the most recognizable pieces of 20th century [[America|American]] [[classical music]]. The work was written in 1942 for the [[Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra]] under conductor Eugène Goossens.

It was premiered on 12 March 1943.

The title of the piece was referred to by Goosens as "as original as its music."
