::Agreed.  Fame shouldn't rule out a candidate, of course, but one of the values an award can have is to bring recognition to individuals who have earned it in quieter, low-key ways while making no less of a difference in the world.  There's also value in raising the awareness of groups or causes that would have much more support if people only knew about them. --[[User:DinsdaleP|DinsdaleP]] 09:10, 21 May 2008 (EDT)

Should we really be recommending the Church of LDS for an award?  I'm deeply suspicious of these anti-Christian fakers, and resent their continuous campaign to be seen as "reasonable Christians".  Lord's sakes -they believe in false Prophets!  Could anything be less in line with the Commandments?    I'm not sure what this site's 'line' is on the LDS - I know many evangelicals detest the Mormons, and yet others side with them for vaguely similar value sets - but most good Christians view their beliefs as a sham, and an insult to Jesus Christ Our Lord.    [[User:JimN|JimN]] 15:21, 5 December 2008 (EST)
