'''Titans''' according to [[Greek]] Mythology were six elder gods of time named: ''Kronos'', ''Koios'', ''Krios'', ''Iapetos'', ''Hyperion'' and ''Okeanos'', who ruled the cosmos before the Olympian gods came to power. Kronos, The King of the Titanes, is the god of destructive time. He led his brothers in the castration of [[Uranus (mythology)| Ouranos]], and was himself deposed by his son [[Zeus]].
The name Titans is also given to those semi-divine beings who were descended from the Titans, such as [[Prometheus]] and [[Helios]]. Prometheus was the wisest Titan. His name means "forethought" and he was able to foretell the future. [[Atlas]] was the son of Iapetus. Unlike his brothers Prometheus and [[Epimetheus]], Atlas fought with the other Titans supporting Cronus against Zeus. Due to Cronus's advance age Atlas lead the Titan's in battle.
