I'm tired of seeing the word "gender" used as a euphemism for sex. The male sex and the female sex can be mentioned aloud and in print. So I suggest we put [[sex]] back where it belongs.
Another thing, is that "[[gender]]" can refer to social roles in a way that "sex" cannot. You are born male or female, and you can't do anything about that. So-called "[[sex change]]" operations don't really turn men into women or vice versa. It's tantamount to [[cross dressing]] or [[female impersonation]].
