:It is interesting to note that there is a Philosophical approach that likens the mind to a machine, I will get to adding that when I do the [[Philosophy of Mind]] article. I was planning on elaborating a bit more on [[brain]] and perhaps [[soul]], but I see that the soul is a bit of a touchy article, so I might shy somewhat from that. As for a direct answer to your question, the Cognitive approach (which literally views the mind as a predicitable machine) is the closest to a model that compares to information processing.
