A '''practice squad''' is a section of a team's roster that is used to practice with. They do not play in actual games unless they get promoted (as was the case with [[Ryan Grant]]). Most of any given practice squad is made up of either failed draft picks or free agents that didn't quite make the team at training camp. The players are paid a much more modest sum than that of their main roster counterparts.
