The paradigm and who accepts/rejects it
The '''old earth''' paradigm is the scientific theory that the [[Earth]] is much older than 10,000 years. This has been the consensus of [[modern science]] since (at least) the 20th century. Creationists are divided on the age of the earth into [[Old Earth Creationism]] which accepts the [[scientific consensus]] and [[Young Earth Creationsm]] which rejects it.
