Jacqueline co-founded Humboldt Pro-Life in 1972, in response to the legalization of abortion in [[California]], a year prior to the notorious [[Roe v. Wade]] ruling. Over the course of 36 years, Humboldt Pro-Life has formed the Grandma House (a home for pregnant girls in crisis), the Crisis Pregnancy Center, and a Memorial for the Unborn at St. Bernard Cemetery in Eureka. In addition, it has produced literature for students, teachers, churches and the media, and has continuously striven to publicise its cause through such means ans booths at public fairs.
