I think that this article should be moved to Expected Value and create a redirect from expectation (math) and expectation value to this page. Does this seem reasonable? In my experience expected value is the far more common term. [[User:AndyJM|AndyJM]] 09:59, 19 January 2009 (EST)

Both terms occur frequently in all kinds of literature. "Mathematical Expectation" is perhaps the more official math term, but "Expected Value", "Expectation Value" all occur frequently.
